North Sea Jazz Art Poster

Every year the graphic design and illustration departments from the Willem de Kooning Academy enter the North sea Jazz Art Poster competition.

The North Sea Jazz festival is an annual festival held in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. This festival is one of the most respectable and biggest in Europe.
The festival hosted performances from artists like Tony Bennett, Miles Davis, Robben Ford, Fats Domino, Ibrahim Ferrer, Ella Fitzgerald, Cab Kaye, Al Jarreau and B.B. King, just to name a few.

For my entry I wanted to show the core of the music. Literally. A friend of mine, who is a surgeon, made an appointment for me at the radiology department at the Erasmus MC hospital and I was able to make an actual X-ray of a saxophone.
